The Programme of Support

Resolve 16+ Support Ltd can provide 4 types of placement provision to assist young people who are transitioning out of ‘Leaving Care’.

Standard Supported Accommodation
Our Standard Supported Accommodation enables young people to practice the life skills they need to live in their own home by:

• Financial:  Managing a budget, opening a bank account, paying bills on time, learning to save for the future

• Domestic:  Cooking food safely, maintaining the home, cleaning, doing laundry

• Health: Registering with Doctors, Dentists and other health care professionals

• Academic: Planning educational goals, connecting with colleges and
training organisations

• Career-Oriented:  Finding a job, writing a CV’s, or improving interview skills

• Housing: Support with housing issues, applications, grants and benefits

We provide the young people with ongoing life skills training to enhance their ability to manage everyday life. When young people leave the Standard Supported Accommodation they will have been provided skills on how to live within their financial means, manage their time wisely, navigate in and around their communities, develop skills to succeed in job interviews and many other important abilities necessary for independent living. A minimum number of face-to-face supported hours provided by the team can be agreed with the Local Authority.

Enhanced Supported Accommodation
We provide supported accommodation to young people who require that ‘little bit extra’ in terms of assistance to make the transition to full independent living. These placements come with all the benefits of a Standard Supported Accommodation package but are tailored to meet the specific needs of the young person. In this case, the level of support might require an increase in the face-to-face hours offered by our team as well as overnight sleep in by staff.

Complex Supported Accommodation
We recognise that some young people require close case management and supervision due to various circumstances related to risk or vulnerability. Our main focus is that there is an exceptionally collaborative working effort between the Local Authority and our staff team. Promoting the personal safety and protection of our young people is paramount, therefore 24-hour support with sleep in; waking night staff and accommodation options are available.

Independent Accommodation with Outreach/Floating Support
Resolve 16+ Support Ltd has outreach workers who support the young people as they learn to live on their own. The outreach workers meet with the young person for several hours a week to discuss their successes and difficulties. They are also available to support the young people with issues such as budgeting, professional appointments and job searching.
